More than 90 organizations dedicated to promoting universal human rights and \/ or the fight against corruption, including the WatchdogMD NGO, have signed to express firm support for the Foreign Affairs Council to initiate a process to set up an EU-level program to impose sanctions against persons and entities considered to be responsible for serious human rights violations.<\/p>\n

As we have seen in the countries that have adopted and have so far enforced laws on the Global Magnitsky Act, a comprehensive human rights and anti-corruption program can serve as a vital addition to the core set of diplomatic and legal tools for support for human rights and the rule of law.<\/p>\n

We remind that WatchdogMD together with other organizations in Moldova have drafted the law on Global Magnitsky act for Moldova in July 2018.<\/p>\n
